Wine

Every October we harvest our grapes by hand - the slopes are too steep for machinery.

We grow three varieties of grape. Riesling from which we make a crisp,
dry white wine as well as half dry and sweet wines and our Sekt;
Weißer Burgunder for a slightly richer and smoother dry white;
and Blauer Spätburgunder for our Rose and Red wines.
For details of these vine varieties please refer to section on the vineyard.

Every year produces a different wine.
The taste is determined by the amount of sun the grape is exposed to during
the summer and autumn months. We bottle most of our white wines
in the following June however, we´ll leave our red wines to mature for a further year.

The following are some of the classifications we use on our wine labels to describe the wine.

Trocken Dry
Halb Trocken Half Dry
